LEGAL NOTICE

The Ohio Township Board of Trustees will hold a public meeting for the purpose of organizing business for the year 2026. The board will also address any other business that may be deemed necessary, including a hall rental policy. The meeting will be held Saturday, January 3, 2026 at 9:00 am at the Ohio Township Firehouse/Administration building, 2877 Mt. Pisgah Rd., New Richmond, OH 45157. Any interested parties are invited to attend.

Notice of Public Hearing

A public hearing will be held before the Ohio Township Board of Zoning Appeals on January 6, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. The hearing will take place at the Ohio Township Administration Building, 2877 Mt. Pisgah Road, New Richmond, Ohio 45157. The purpose of the hearing is to consider a request for a variance at 3164 S.R. 132, Amelia, Ohio 45102 to allow the applicant to maintain an accessory dwelling unit on the property.

Zoning Commission Alternate

Ohio Township Trustees are seeking an alternate member to serve on the Zoning Commission. Interested parties must reside in the unincorporated area of the Township.

The Zoning Commission is composed of five Ohio Township residents and one alternate member who are appointed by the Board of Trustees for five year terms. These volunteers are responsible for reviewing and offering a recommendation on all text and map amendments to the Zoning Resolution prior to the Trustees final determination on an application.

Ohio Township Park

The Township Park has an open shelter for outdoor usage. Restrooms are available on Saturdays and Sundays starting usually in April until the end of October, both dates depend on the weather, from 8am until 9pm and of course, there is a portable available year round. The park has two ball fields, tennis court, pickleball courts, walking trail, children's play area, picnic tables in the park outside of the shelter and there are 5 outdoor grills near and around the shelter area. Garbage cans are placed in different locations for cleanup.
