Ohio Township has a 1.5 mil fire/ems levy on the November 2025 ballot. If passed, revenue from the levy will be z replace the 18-year-old life squad.

A public hearing will be held before the Ohio Township Board of Trustees on October 13 starting at 6:30 PM at the Ohio Township Administrative Building. The purpose of the hearing is to consider text amendments to the Zoning Resolution.

Ohio Township Trustees are seeking an alternate member to serve on the Zoning Commission. Interested parties must reside in the unincorporated area of the Township.
The Zoning Commission is composed of five Ohio Township residents and one alternate member who are appointed by the Board of Trustees for five year terms. These volunteers are responsible for reviewing and offering a recommendation on all text and map amendments to the Zoning Resolution prior to the Trustees final determination on an application.

The Township Park has an open shelter for outdoor usage. Restrooms are available on Saturdays and Sundays starting usually in April until the end of October, both dates depend on the weather, from 8am until 9pm and of course, there is a portable available year round. The park has two ball fields, tennis court, pickleball courts, walking trail, children's play area, picnic tables in the park outside of the shelter and there are 5 outdoor grills near and around the shelter area. Garbage cans are placed in different locations for cleanup.
